Mwalala wary of Shabana threat despite fine run
KCB head coach
Bernard Mwalala says they will not underestimate struggling Shabana when the
two sides clash this weekend in their FKF Premier League fixture.
The bankers
defeated Muranga Seals 2-1 on Sunday at St Sebastian Park in Murang’a, and
Mwalala believes they have the right momentum to get a win when they face
Shabana at Homa Bay Stadium on Saturday.
“We won’t take any team for granted they have
their own challenges and that doesn’t mean we underestimate them we will
continue giving our best and take on game at a time and my hope is to get
maximum points against them, “said Mwalala
Mwalala
highlighted their tactical discipline from their success against Murang’a for
praise from his side, citing it as key for their ascendancy to third position
on the log with 22 points from 12 games.
“The team has been improving each and every
game in the recent times and getting three points in our recent matches is sign
of positive things to come, “added Mwalala
The youthful
tactician came close to winning the league title with Kakamega Homeboyz two
seasons ago and believes his current side has what it takes to challenge for
the crown.
“We have a team that can fight for the title
and I believe we have the right quality of player to give us good results in
each and every games and our focus is to take one game at a time and try our
best to win our first league title,” Mwalala told Citizen Digital
