Kenya Police coach
Antony “Modo” Kimani remains optimistic about securing a positive result in
their upcoming rematch against Ethiopian Coffee, despite the 0-0 draw in their
first match.
Kenya Police FC
missed the chance to capitalise on home advantage as they were held to a
goalless draw by Ethiopian Coffee in their CAF Confederation Cup first-round
preliminary match at Nayayo Stadium, Nairobi, on Sunday.
Kimani has underscored
the need for a thorough analysis in preparation for their away game.
“The attacking third is one area we will focus on because I'm sure we will also get opportunities away in Ethiopia and would want to take those chances. We will also work on our defensive organisation too, because we will be playing away and we have seen what we had anticipated. Ethiopian players are very technical. We have the mettle to make sure we get good results in Ethiopia,” he explained.
“We played very well, we dominated the entire match. That's why we were able to create many opportunities today but we lacked the final touch into the net. We do have a very good squad so we know our potential. We take responsibility for the results together with my other bench technical members as we regroup to plan for the rematch,” he added.
