Kisped Queens' head coach Daniel Minjis has identified a lack of concentration in defence as the reason for his team's narrow loss to Kenya Police Bullets in an FKF Women's Premier League match over the weekend in Kisumu.

In an interview with Citizen Digital, Minjis explained that the 1-0 defeat highlighted his players' failure to maintain focus during crucial moments.

However, he expressed confidence in addressing the mistakes ahead of their next match against Ulinzi Starlets on Sunday at home.

"We tried to contain them, but they scored due to a defensive lapse. After that, we made a substitution that had a significant impact on our defensive line," Minjis said.

"We know where we went wrong, and I'm confident we won't repeat the same mistakes against Ulinzi Starlets."

Despite having several highly experienced players, Minjis remains optimistic that his team is capable of upsetting their opponents on Sunday.

"For us, the game against Ulinzi Starlets is a must-win because we are at home, and we can't afford to lose two matches in a row in our backyard. It will be a tough game, as Ulinzi Starlets has some of the best players, like Ngaira and others. Our goal is to deny them scoring opportunities," he added.

The loss to league leaders Kenya Police Bullets left Kisped Queens in ninth place with 13 points from 12 matches. They will next face fifth-placed Ulinzi Starlets, who have 19 points from the same number of games.
