MCF head coach Vincent Nyaberi says his main goal of the
campaign is to safeguard his team’s place I the National Super League at the
end of the campaign in the wake of this team’s struggles.
Nyaberi's men picked a rare 3-0 win against Mathare United
at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday and the coach hopes this can
spur a good run of results heading to the tail end of the season.
"I want to congratulate my boys for the deserved win
because they played according to instructions and we scooped maximum points
from a well organised side," Nyaberi said in the wake of his team’s win.
He added, "My biggest work for this season is to make
sure we do what we can to retain our place in the league before coming up with
plans next season."
The Machakos-based is placed 14th in the 20-team league with
24 points after 23 rounds.
After winning their fifth match of the season at home, they
are set to travel to Ngong next weekend to face a stern test from Kibera Black
Stars.
