Malkia Strikers' attacker Adhiambo joins Finland’s side

Malkia Strikers’ lethal attacker Pamela Adhiambo has joined Finland’s volleyball giants LP Viesti and will be unveiled by the club today.

This comes just days after starring for Kenya on her Olympic debut at the Paris Games. 

The nine-time league champions had already prepared an eight month contract for Adhiambo prior to the Olympics, and what was left was putting ink to paper.

When Malkia Strikers left Paris for the country yesterday, she travelled to Finland to ink the deal.

The 23-year-old starred alongside Veronica Adhiambo with her attacking prowess shining in Poland’s game, in which she emerged the top scorer with 14 points.

In total, Adhiambo earned Malkia Strikers 23 points in which other seven came against Brazil in the opener while she just managed two from four attempts in the last game against japan after hardly seeing the ball set on her side to attack.

The former Nyakach Girls’ alumnus enjoyed a fine three seasons with Kenya Pipeline, helping them secure the women league title in 2022, as well as bagging the Most Valuable Player award.

She has been in incredible form since, forcing herself into Japheth Munala plans after she was overlooked by the previous Malkia Strikers head coach Luizomar de Moura on International assignments.

Her incredible form since joining Pipeline saw her attract interest from Rwandese top clubs last year and early this year but chose to stick with Pipeline.

Adhiambo becomes the latest Malkia Strikers’ star to ply her trade abroad after Veronica Adhiambo who plays for Tarsus Belediyespor of Turkey and Sharon Chepchumba who recently outed for Greek giants PAOK Thessaloniki before returning to KCB.
