Leopards lacks top talents to challenge for top honors, decries Ambani

Former AFC Leopards striker Boniface Ambani believes this former team lacks top drawer  players to compete with other top teams in the FKF Premier League.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Ambani said the current squad needs to be bolstered during the next transfer window if any good results are to be expected from the team.

“The quality of players in that team cannot compete with the best in the league that is why they are struggling to win matches they need to get top player who will return the team form where it is supposed to be,” said Ambani

 The former AFC Leopards striker also heaped praises on the great project that Kakamega Homeboyz are nurturing, having seen the team fight for the title in recent season and now second in the league standings with a point behind league leaders Gor Mahia, attributing the feat to players sticking together over a long time.

“The project at Homeboyz is working because most of the player in that team have been together for so long that is why they are getting good results and fighting for the title in recent times they are heading in the right direction, “added Ambani

Homeboyz will next face Ingwe in a fixture they have recently dominated, and the former Tusker FC striker is expecting the same fate on Sunday.

“Homebe4oyz have been the dominant team in recent time in that fixture no matter where it is played and from the form in which they are in I expect them to do the same come Sunday,” the former Kenyan international told Citizen Digital
