St Antony’s Kitale hockey head
coach, Kevin Lugalia, says they will take every game in the upcoming Kenya
Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national school games as a final as
they aim to reclaim their national title.
Speaking to Citizen Digital,
Lugalia said they are determined to reclaim the national title they have
twice lost to rivals Musingu High School in the last two years.
“It is going to be very competitive. Many teams have had great performances, and we can’t wait for the competition to begin and show what we have.
"The most important thing is to take every
match with the seriousness that it deserves,” said Lugalia
St Antonys have been pooled
alongside Ringa Boys, Hospital Hill, and St Charles Lwanga, and despite them being viewed as favourites, the head coach says they won’t underestimate any
team.
“We are in tough teams. Those are teams that will give us a proper test but we will approach every game
according to the plan, and we aim to finish top of the group,” added Lugalia
“Attack is the best way to defend
we have to keep on sharpening our attack and be able to kill of games easily
that is our plan as we prepare for the nationals,” stated the head coach
