Police FC team manager George Maelo has assured us that the team will not be carried away despite leading the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) table.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Maelo emphasized that they are taking one game at a time as they push toward the end of the season in pursuit of their maiden Premier League title.

“The players are highly motivated, especially after competing in the CAF Confederation Cup, which they know will elevate their profiles. They also understand the significance of winning the league, which keeps them going in every game,” said Maelo.

Police FC currently sit atop the table, level on points with Tusker FC but ahead on goal difference.

While the club is keen on strengthening key areas during the ongoing transfer window, Maelo stated that any additions will be guided by the technical bench.

“The management and technical bench are working together to identify areas that need reinforcements, but we are in no hurry. We will assess the situation and make decisions accordingly,” he added.

After a goalless draw against title rivals Tusker FC last weekend, the league leaders will take on Bidco United this weekend. Maelo is hopeful that the team will secure maximum points.

“A draw against a strong side like Tusker wasn’t a bad result. We are focused on taking one game at a time and treating every match as a final to see what we can achieve by the end of the season,” said the former Sofapaka captain.
