With just four matches left before the curtain falls on the current season of the  FKF Women’s Premier League, Kisumu AllStarlets are in a race against time to secure their spot in the top tier.

Sitting just a single position above the dreaded relegation zone, the lakeside outfit is determined to steer clear of the drop and end the season on a high.

This Sunday, the Allstarlets face a crucial away fixture against Kenya Police FC in Nairobi. The particular match that could significantly shape their survival chances if the visiting team will collect maximum points.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Kisumu Allstarlets head coach Juma Said remains optimistic about his side’s chances, revealing that his players have shown great focus and determination during training.

“We’ve prepared well for the match, and the objective is clear — we’re going for all three points,” Said emphasised.

“It’s a tough game, but the team is ready to fight until the final whistle.” 

Meanwhile, a win against Kenya Police would boost the AllStarlets’ morale and provide them with a crucial cushion ahead of their remaining fixtures.

Kisumu AllStarlets are placed eighth on the log with 15 points after playing 16 rounds. 

Kenya Police Bullets are at the apex with 29 points in 16 outings.
