Kisped Queens head coach Daniel Minjis has emphasized the importance of using the upcoming weekend to refine the team's tactical approach and address critical weaknesses.

Minjis expressed optimism about the team’s progress and their prospects in the FKF Women's Premier League.

“We are utilizing this break to address our weaknesses in all areas,” said Minjis.

“Our attacking line has been a concern, and we are working to improve goal-scoring efficiency. The players are responding positively to the adjustments.”

Queens, currently sitting eighth in the KWPL standings with 11 points, will not play this weekend, allowing them valuable time to focus on sharpening their skills and correcting errors observed in previous matches, before facing Kisumu All Starlets.

Minjis highlighted that the team has struggled in converting chances into goals, a shortfall that has seen them drop points in crucial matches.

By dedicating extra sessions to offensive drills and coordination, the tactician hopes to unleash a more potent attacking force in their upcoming fixture.

Additionally, defensive organization and midfield creativity are on the agenda, with the technical bench aiming for a well-rounded performance against Kisumu All Starlets next week.

Meanwhile, Kisped’s upcoming opponents, Kisumu All Starlets present a significant challenge.

The Starlets are known for their high-intensity game play and clinical finishing, which will test the resilience of Kisped’s revamped defense but Minjis however remains confident.

“Every match is an opportunity to grow. We’ve identified what needs improvement, and I believe the team will rise to the occasion,” he said.
