Kisped, Bungoma Queens ready for KWPL showdown
Kenya Women’s Premier League side Kisped Queens are gearing
up for their weekend clash against Bungoma Queens at Mambo Leo Stadium in
Kisumu County on Sunday.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Kisped Queens head coach Daniel
Minjis emphasized the need to emerge from the battle victorious, terming it as
a critical step to climbing higher on the log.
Kisped sit sixth on the log and a win will augur
well with their season ambitions of finishing in the top three.
“We must win this match,” said Minjis.
“Playing at home is an advantage we intend to use to our
benefit.
“Bungoma Queens is a team I understand well, and we’ll be
prepared to counter their approach.”
His Bungoma Queens counterpart Godfrey Mabonga is
also confident of engineering a win as they aim to finish in the league’s top
four at the end of the season.
Currently sitting in fourth place with six points,
Bungoma Queens will need a win to solidify their position and continue
competing with the league's frontrunners.
“We’re focused on keeping our position in the top
four.
“This match is vital for us, and we’re prepared to give it
our all.”
