Kenya Sevens head coach Kevin Wambua says they are working
hard to improve on their game awareness ahead of this weekend’s Hong Kong
Sevens.
Wambua says they have to work on all their weaknesses to ensure they don’t drop points unnecessarily.
“Game awareness is crucial in the remaining legs; it’s an
area we have been working on to make sure we finish in a strong way, I hope all
gets well this weekend,”said Wambua.
Shujaa are currently ranked ninth in the Series standings
after four legs and with two legs to go the head coach believes they have what
it takes to achieve their season target - finishing in the top eight.
“Our main target is to make sure we finish in the top eight,
that was our first goal after we made a comeback to the Series,” he said. “We
are determined to make sure we achieve it at the end of the series.”
The Shujaa have been pooled alongside Spain, France and
Great Britain for the weekend assignment and the veteran tactician says they
will take one game at a time.
“This is the best team we have assembled and I believe in my
players; the union has given us maximum support plus our sponsors and I believe
we will be able to give back with good results,” stated the head a coach.
