According to the organizers, the event will feature 32 men and 16 women competing in different categories.
The final will be the culmination of the Freestyle Football Pulse Series, a succession of highly competitive regional tournaments that ensures all corners of the globe are covered and every single freestyler can compete for a spot in the World Final.
“This competition is an individual sport that teaches people discipline and endurance plus a lot of hard work involved before you can get to the later stages is hard work and dedication and having gone until the quarter finals stages this sports should be introduced in schools,” said Hezlen Selesi, one of the freestylers who will battle it out for glory on Saturday.
Erlend Fagerli of Norway and Caitlyn Schrepfer of the USA were crowned the men's and women's winners of the 2022 World final held in Pula, Croatia while Tristan Gac of France Aguska Mnich of Poland were the winners of the first-ever People’s Choice Award
With no Kenyan involved in Saturday’s finals, Annete Wachira is hoping to see Kenyans participate in next year’s finals.
“Having the finals in Kenya is a great opportunity to showcase the countries tourism because the world will be coming to Kenya and I hope if all goes well will have Kenyans in next year’s finals with proper work put in place and great support,” stated Wachira
Freestyle football is the art of juggling a football using any part of the body, excluding the elbows to the hands. It combines football tricks, dance, acrobatics and music to entertain onlookers and compete with opponents.
