Kenya Simbas secure Kshs.1.5m grooming sponsorship deal from HACO Industries
In a
significant boost for Kenyan rugby, the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a
new partnership with HACO Industries' Amara brand.
The
collaboration was unveiled on Wednesday at a press conference held at RFUEA
Grounds, Nairobi, where Amara was revealed as the official grooming partner for
the Kenya national rugby union team, the Kenya Simbas.
Through the
partnership, Amara has injected a sum of Ksh.1.5 million, a crucial investment
that underscores their support to the Simbas.
Speaking
during the event, HACO Industries Managing Director Mary-Ann Musangi termed the
partnership as a unique opportunity for their brand to connect with the rugby
community.
“This
partnership offers us a unique opportunity to connect with our consumers
through the shared values of excellent performance. This collaboration is
strategically crafted to forge a strong bond between Amara and the rugby
community,” Musangi said.
KRU Chairman
Sasha Mutai expressed his gratitude towards the partnership.
“The Kenya
Rugby Union is thrilled to have Amara on board as the Official Skin Care
Partner of the Simbas. This partnership highlights the growing recognition of
rugby as a powerful platform for brand engagement. We are confident that our
collaboration with Amara will bring added value to the team and the sport,
inspiring our players and fans alike,” said Mutai.
The
significance of the partnership was also highlighted by Simbas captain, George
Nyambua.
“We are extremely grateful for Amara's support,
especially after a period without a sponsor. This partnership is a tremendous boost
as we gear up for the next qualifiers. It’s not just about financial support, it’s
about the morale and motivation it brings to the team,” noted Nyambua.
