“The top four sides in this tournament will represent Kenya in the Africa Zone V Championship. We have competed well in the recently concluded edition and hope the four will represent us well," he said.
"Winners in both the men’s and women’s categories will take home KSh 300,000, runners-up will get KSh 200,000, while third and fourth-placed teams will pocket KSh 100,000 and KSh 75,000 respectively," Nyaberi added.
The women’s semifinals will be played in the morning session with the men’s semifinals to be played in the afternoon session.
KCB will square off with Kenya Prisons in the first semifinals before Kenya Pipeline renew rivalry with DCI in what will be a repeat of Kenya Volleyball league final that KPC narrowly edged out the officers.
In the men’s semifinal KDF will knock horns with a wounded KPA. The dockers lost the league final on the final day after a dramatic comeback to force a decider.
GSU who clinched their record extending 16th title will be out to make it a domestic double this weekend as they take on Kenya Prisons for a chance to earn a ticket to the finals.
The finals are scheduled to be played at the same venue on Sunday.
