KCB forced Gor Mahia to put their FKF Premier League title party on hold Thursday afternoon after the two sides played to a barren draw in Murang’a.

Victory for Gor Mahia would have left the champions needing only one point in their next match to be confirmed winners for a record-extending 21st title but they must wait for their inevitable coronation.

The record-champions are now one win away from an unprecedented title win and they need to defeat Muhoroni Youth at the weekend to achieve that feat.

After Muhoroni Youth, Gor will then face struggling Sofapaka, Talanta and wind up the 2023-2024 campaign against Bidco United.

They lead the log on 64 points, 10 above Police FC whose Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to AFC Leopards dimmed their hopes to lift their first ever league title.

KCB’s dramatic decline has seen the side win just one of their 13 league matches and they have dropped down from second place to 11th place on 37 points, 27 adrift of leaders with four matches left to play.

The Bernard Mwalala led charges will be out to salvage their season against Kariobangi Sharks, Posta Rangers, AFC Leopards and City Stars.
