Kaytwa admits the bankers are plotting a strategy to finally get one up on Kabras following three years of heartache with the sugar millers reigning supreme in both the Enterprise Cup and Kenya Cup.
Kabras Sugar triumphed 25-17 over their nemesis for a fifth successive time to finish top of the 2024-2025 Kenya Cup season unbeaten at the Kakamega Showground last Saturday
“We are fine tuning a few areas like set pieces and scrums, where I feel somehow we failed to click well. By the time we descend to the field I believe every department will be ready,” he said.
The other Enterprise Cup semi-final will see Menengai Oilers face Nondescripts at the Nakuru Ask Showground on Saturday.
Kaytwa attributed their team’s fine run and consistency to teamwork.
“We played for our fans. We know the importance and the joy that comes with us winning for them but it was also down to hard work, discipline and team work,” added Kaytwa.
He also warned his opponents that his side was targeting another season double with Kenya Cup’s unprecedented four-peat also in their sights.
“The season has been good but it can get better if some structures are improved. I feel like the top teams dominate because of their financial muscle and when other teams get injuries they have no depth of covering for the competition not well balanced. We are ready to win a double again.”
