Harambee Stars defender Robinson Kamura has vowed to keep working hard to keep his place in the national team.

The Kakamega Homeboyz player played a key role in helping the club win its first ever trophy when they clinched the FKF Cup last Saturday.

Kamura credited a collective team effort for Homeboyz’s cup success that also means they get the ticket to participate at the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.

"The Harambee Stars call up was not luck but the hard work that I put in to earn it. I am not the only one who has been working hard at Homeboyz but everyone has put in a shift to ensure we achieved what we did this season,” Kamura said.

The former Mathare United and AFC Leopards player hopes his return to form can catalyse his team’s continental campaign next season.

Kamura was an unused substitution in the Harambee Stars’ trip to Mauritius where they played two matches, a 1-0 win over Pakistan 1-0 and a 1-0 loss to the home team.
