Kajiado FC boosted their efforts to evade the relegation zone with a narrow 1-0 victory over SS ASSAD FC in their 35th National Super League (NSL) match, played today at Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado County.

The decisive moment came in the 60th minute when Kajiado FC midfielder Swaleh Ali scored a stunning free-kick from 26 yards, beating SS ASSAD goalkeeper Ngare Said. This goal proved to be enough for the hosts to secure a vital win.

SS ASSAD FC's attempts to equalize were repeatedly thwarted by Kajiado FC's resolute defence, which proved to be impenetrable.

The match concluded with Kajiado FC celebrating their second consecutive win, keeping their hopes of NSL survival alive.

Kajiado FC Coach Titus Mbatha expressed satisfaction with the result, stating that it has renewed their chances of staying in the second tier of the National Super League. He emphasized the team's determination to win the remaining three matches of the season.

On the other hand, SS ASSAD coach Bomani Idinyiro described the loss as a setback but stressed the importance of focusing on the next three matches to improve their position on the NSL table.

Kajiado FC now sits in 17th place with 31 points, level with 18th-placed Mulembe United, with only goal difference separating the two teams. With three matches remaining in the season, both clubs are fighting fiercely to avoid relegation.
