Kabras fire warning shot at Blad ahead of Kenya Cup clash

The Millers, who are seeking a Kenya Cup four-peat this season, have an unbeaten streak in the first six matches of the season, a run that has seen them top the standings on 30 points.

“We are ready and we are prepared to face Blad (Blak Blad). If you remember, Blad almost had one on us last year so there is a lot for us to prove. We really want to avenge last season because it was not nice going to Blad and getting what we got, so this is our time now to bring back; everything that was dished out on us, we will dish back to them this weekend.”

Katywa has however warned that the varsity side have the tools to hurt the champions, saying there will be no room for error.

Blad are placed sixth in the Cup standings on 11 points after two wins and four losses.

“They’re a very physical side; this guy Obat (Obat Kuke) is a very influential player but they’ve also got a very skillful fly half.

“They possess very nippy parks but to be honest we don’t focus on other teams we only focus on ourselves and how we can  get better and improve from our previous game.”

In other fixtures, highflying KCB seek to continue with their unbeaten run when they welcome Kenya Harlequin to the lion’s den on Saturday.

KCB are second on 30 points, level with Kabras who boast a superior point difference. (PD).
