Jasiri on the verge of retaining Msa Open Tong Il Moo Do title

The Kenya Tong-IL Moo-Do national team popularly known as Jasiri
is on the verge of retaining the Mombasa Open International Tong-IL Moo-Do
Martial Arts Championship title.
Kenya
has extended its medal haul to 105 having won 30 gold, 34 silver and 41 bronze
medals, in the 10th edition of the competition that ends Tuesday night at the
Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa.
South
Korea are in second position with four gold medals and 2 bronze, with Paraguay
in position three with 3 gold medals .
Zambia
is fourth followed by India, USA and Brazil respectively, while India are fifth
with a gold and two bronze medals.
In the senior women novice team category Lona Abiero and Lizzanne
Adhiambo of Kenya won two gold medals after gaining 8.80 points.
The second team had Jane Kiarie, Triza Kinyanjui and Eunice Wambugha
who won silver medals for Kenya.
Nathalie Chitalu, Simyeon Jimaddoum all from Zambia won bronze
medals.
In the free style women India won gold through Erica Seguira,
while Kenyan star Lona Abiero won silver with Jung Jin Joo of USA scooping the
bronze medal.
In freestyle men Division 1, Zambia won gold through Michael Zulu
with 9.50 points followed by George Omolo of Kenya who got 9.25 points. The
third position went to Sanghun Kim of Korea on 9:10 points.
With team Kenya having entered more of their athletes into the
finals, it is expected more medals will be harvested before the end of the
tournament.
