Hussein Mohammed denied chance to represent Murang’a Seal at FKF AGM

The Football Kenya Federation
(FKF) has rejected a request from Premier League club Murang’a Seal to have
presidential aspirant Hussein Mohammed as their representative at the
federation's Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Nairobi on Saturday.
In response to the club's request, the federation stated that after a thorough review of the registration documents and other pertinent details, Mohammed was found to be ineligible to represent the club.
“Following a comprehensive review of the registration documents and other details thereof regarding Murang’a Seal submitted in compliance with Articles L02 and L03 of the FKF Club Licensing Regulations and Articles 54 and 55 of the CAF men’s club licensing regulations (2022) attached for your reference, we would like to inform you that Hussein Mohammed is nor registered with FKF as a member of Murang’a Seal or FKF general, by Article 11 of the FKF constitution (2017)and Article 8.1.4 of the FKF regulations governing Kenyan football (2019),” the federation said in a letter.
“In light of the aforementioned, Hussein Mohammed is therefore ineligible to represent Murang’a Seal in the upcoming FKF Annual General Meeting,” the letter concluded.
FKF further contested Murang’a's request by stating: "Moreover, it's crucial to note that, as per the documents submitted during the club licensing registration process, Murang’a Seal is officially registered as Murang’a Sports Excellence Academy Limited. Robert Kenneth Wanyoike Macharia is listed as the sole director of the entity, recognized as Murang’a Seal for FKF activities."
An official representing Mohammed, speaking anonymously, criticized FKF's decision, asserting that the federation lacks the authority to dictate which representatives clubs can send to the AGM.
"Macharia serves as the chairman of FKF Murang’a County. How can he represent both the county and the club?" the official questioned, adding: "Additionally, if Murang’a was registered by Macharia, they possess the registration certificate, and Hussein (Mohammed) is a duly registered official. FKF has no authority to dictate club representation at the AGM."
Former FKF President Sam Nyamweya on his side, however, emphasized that FKF's decision should be respected and adhered to strictly.
"If Hussein (Mohammed) does not appear in FKF's records, then he has no right to attend the AGM," Nyamweya stated.
“FKF is responsible for maintaining all club records, and I don't believe they would arbitrarily deny him the right to attend a meeting if he has fulfilled the requirements," he added
