Harlequins looking to finish strong in Kenya Cup race

Kenya Harlequin Head
Coach Paul Murunga has warned his charges against underrating Kisumu RFC who
they host this weekend at the RFUEA grounds here in Nairobi, in their
penultimate game of the regular season.
Harlequin got back
to winning ways last weekend when they saw off South Coast Pirates 43-17 and
Murunga believes that win is a big relief to the boys as they prepare to host
the Nyanza-based Kisumu RFC.
"Despite Kisumu
being lower on the log we should not underrate them, so we need to play
according to our strategy and play a good game. This weekend we will be at home
so we need to play well and make sure we achieve our target in terms of getting
a bonus points. We will stick to our structure of playing as a team and not as
individuals," explained Murunga.
Murunga says his
boys have been training well and looking to end the season on a high, heading to the playoffs.
"We came back
to our winning ways last weekend. The boys are good to go; we still have two
games to go, the first one against Kisumu and then next weekend we play against
Strathmore.
"These are
teams that I know are up to task because they have their own battles as they
are battling relegation but I know we have an upper hand because we have a
better team than them. So for us we still want to play and win both games to
give us a better chance in the quarter finals which going by the way the table
is right now, we will play against Nondies."
Harlequin have already secured their slot
in the play off, as they are currently fifth with 27 points, six points ahead
of Blak Blad who occupy the last play off slot.
