Harambee Stars coach Firat names squad for Four Nations Tournament
Harambee Stars Coach Engin Firat has unveiled the
provisional squad for the Four Nations Tournament, scheduled to be held in
Mauritius from June 11th to June 18th, 2023.
This 30-man provisional squad
comprises a perfect blend of talented local-based players and seasoned
foreign-based players.
Coach Firat has strategically
selected this squad with an eye on the upcoming CAF and FIFA assignments.
Additionally, the Four Nations Tournament offers an opportunity for players to
show what they can offer.
Among the new faces receiving
their maiden call-ups to the national team are Simon Masaka (Sofapaka), Kevin
Luke Otiala (Kariobangi Sharks), Charles Ouma (Kenya Police), and Moses Shummah
(Kakamega Homeboyz). Their inclusion reflects the coach’s commitment to
injecting fresh energy into the team.
Furthermore, Brian Bwire
(Tusker), Robinson Kamura (Kakamega Homeboyz), and Boniface Omondi (Gor Mahia)
have made a return to the national team, adding valuable experience and depth
to the squad.
Stars kick off residential
training on Monday, June 5, and are set to depart for Mauritius on June
10, 2023.
They will be pitted against
the hosts Mauritius, Djibouti, and Pakistan.
