Harambee Stars winger Adam Ayiro Wilson has capped off a
sensational season with Welsh giants, The New Saints (TNS), by winning a historic treble, lifting the Cymru Premier League
title, the Welsh Cup, and the Nathaniel MG Cup.
Wilson, who returned to TNS on loan from Bradford City in
August 2024, proved instrumental in the club’s dominant campaign.
The 23-year-old registered an impressive 20 goal
contributions in 33 appearances, including a standout hat-trick in a 6–0
thrashing of Cardiff Met in March 2025.
His attacking flair and work ethic were pivotal as TNS not
only swept all domestic trophies but also made European history, becoming the
first Welsh club to qualify for the UEFA Conference League group stages, with
Wilson playing a key role in their continental campaign.
Born in Ashington, England, Wilson began his career at
Newcastle United and turned professional in 2018. After an initial spell with
TNS in 2022, where he won a domestic double and was named Supporters' Player of
the Year, he joined Bradford City in 2023 on a three-year deal.
However, after a brief stint that included a goal against
Wrexham, he returned to TNS to regain form and match fitness.
Internationally, Wilson represented the England U18 team before switching allegiance to
Kenya, following his Kenyan heritage.
In May 2024, he received his first call-up to the Harambee
Stars squad, marking a
significant milestone in his international career.
With a treble secured and his reputation on the rise, Wilson has firmly established himself as one of the most promising Kenyan talents in Europe, and a key player to watch as Harambee Stars build towards AFCON 2027, which Kenya will co-host alongside neighbors Uganda and Tanzania.
