GSU sweep past Equity to stay perfect
General
Service Unit (GSU) swept Equity 3-0 to continue their perfect start to the men's
Kenya Volleyball Federation League season at the Nyayo National Stadium,
Nairobi on Sunday.
The
defending champions were forced into extra time to 27-25 but the sets that
followed were blowouts with Equity going down 25-13 and 25-19.
In another
contest, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) held off stubborn AP Kenya 3-2 in a
thrilling five-setter (25-20, 25-23, 28-26, 25-20 and 15-10).
Victory
lifted the soldiers into second on the standings on 27 points, level GSU
although the reigning champions have a superior set difference.
Prisons
teams' games were rescheduled as they took part in the Prisons Championship at
Kasarani Stadium.
The league
will continue next weekend.
