Gor unveil Sh240m sponsorship deal
Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia have unveiled a new shirt
sponsor after agreeing a three-year deal worth Sh240 million with a gaming firm
with whom they have previously partnered.
Gor chairman Ambrose Rachier said they were pleased to
welcome them ‘back home’ with the latest association going beyond ‘financial
aspects’.
“It’s a good feeling to have a partner like them. We are
indeed pleased to have them back and we are looking for a fruitful partnership
all through the contract period,” Rachier told Citizen Digital.
The club’s chairman Ambrose Rachier said the firm is a valuable
partner owing to the many value additions it offered the team previously.
“I remember with a lot of nostalgiathe great days of our
partnership. We played against Everton for their pre-season maiden tour of East
Africa back in 2017 and were also accorded the honour to play a game against
the same team in November 2018 at their home ground in Liverpool, UK,” noted
the club’s chairman.
As part of this partnership, the gaming firm will fully
kit the first team and technical bench,
cover the medical insurance costs for club’s players as well as cater for the
team’s travel and accommodation expenses as the participate in African
Inter-Club Competition.
