Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League defending Champions  Gor Mahia are hoping to get back to winning ways when they face Murang’a SEAL tomorrow in a league tie at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.

K’Ogalo opened their title defense with a 4-0 thrashing of Mathare United, then 3-0 win against Posta Rangers before drawing 0-0 against Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

Their unbeaten record came to an end on Monday when they fell 2 – 1 to Nairobi City Stars.

Speaking to Citizen Digital after City Stars match, Gor’s tactician Leonardo Neiva said despite the loss, he was impressed by his charges' display, adding that he was satisfied with the progress of building a long-term team for posterity.

“We are not at our 100% since we exited CAF Champions League, but I have been impressed because my boys have given their best in this match but we are going to keep our eyes on the prize (retaining the title),” said the Brazilian.

The defeat saw Gor Mahia drop to position nine in the standings with seven points, ten behind leaders KCB who have played three more matches.

The Murang’a-based club have had mixed results this season having registered two wins, two draws and two loses.

They beat Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in the opener, grabbed another 1-0 win over AFC Leopards before registering a 0-0 and 1-1 draws against Bandari and Mara Sugar respectively.

SEAL suffered their first loss of the season 3-0 against Kariobangi Sharks before losing 2-0 to leaders KCB.

Former champions Tusker are also seeking to return to winning ways when they host Bandari at Police Sacco Stadium tomorrow.

Tusker, who have been blowing hot and cold this season, fell 3-2 to leaders KCB last weekend.

Head coach Charles Okere, now wants his boys to avoid losing concentration which has disoriented their pre-game plan by chasing the game the moment they concede very early.

“We have been having a problem of leading and controlling the game but end up dropping crucial points. This happened against Kariobangi Sharks, Kakamega Homeboyz and Ulinzi Stars. We dropped a total of seven points that we would have bagged by all means if we were able to concentrate and protect our lead,”  stated Okere.

After enduring seven-winless streak Shabana will be out to hunt for a first win this season when they face Nairobi City Stars at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, County.

Shabana are rooted at the bottom of the table with just three points in five outings, putting the future of Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo at cross roads.

Twice, in five matches ‘Tore Bobe’ as they are fondly known, have dropped points from a winning position to share spoils with Ulinzi Stars and Kariongi Sharks.
