Gor Mahia hire Croat Sinisa Mihic as head coach but on six-month probation contract

Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have hired Croat Sinisa Mihic as interim head coach.

Mihic has been hired on a six-month probation contract; and the 48-year-old will have his engagement extended if he impresses the club bosses during his six-month tenure.

He will be assisted by club legend Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno and Michael Nam.

Otieno has been holding the fort on an interim basis since the departure of Brazilian Leonardo Neiva.

The move by the club to tap the Croat is a departure from the club’s past position after they insisted ‘Zico’ would take charge and would not hire a foreign coach.

K’Ogalo are blowing hot and cold this term as they bid to defend the gong.

They are placed third on the log with 31 points, six shy of leaders Police FC after playing 18 match.
