Gor Mahia boss Rachier confident of retaining seat as club polls near

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier says he is confident of retaining his position as the club boss when elections are held on April 13 2025.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Rachier said he is
prepared to go head to head with any candidate who is willing to contest for
the top seat and is sure he will emerge victorious, with a landslide.
“I am eligible
to vie in the elections, nothing can stop me and if any one feels otherwise
they can go and check the club’s constitution so I am ready to face anyone who
wants to vie.
“I love this
club and I want to serve the team for the next four years and give my best to
the team,” said Rachier.
Rachier went on to assure contesters that the elections will be free and fair, and he will accept the outcome of the elections.
“Everything is
set for the elections; the venue has been booked and I can assure you the
elections will be free and fair and everyone should be ready to accept the
outcome of the elections including myself,” added Rachier.
Gor have been
using Nyayo Stadium and Kasarani for many years as their home venues and the
chairman feels it high time the club owned their own facility.
“This has to
change, we need to find our own land and build our own stadium; this is what I
am planning to do for this lovely club; we are trying to find land in different
counties across the nation, I hope this will finally come true ,”stated the
club chairman.
