Gor Mahia beat Homeboyz in Kakamega, Wazito skin Leopards

Gor Mahia pulled a precious 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium in Football Kenya Federation (FKF) league mact, thanks to a 78th minute goal by Layson Khavuchi.

Visits to Bukhungu Stadium are always tough trips for the 19 times Kenyan Premier League champions and the maximum points will go a long way as they jump to third on the log with a game in hand having collected 16 points  - just three adrift leaders Tusker.

At Muhoroni, Wazito edged AFC Leopards 2-1 to claim a precious win, their second win in a row.

Vincent Otieno opened the scoring with an own goal in the 21st minute handing AFC Leopards the lead.

Collins Okoth equalized the scores to restore parity for Wazito in the 36th minute. Collins Odhiambo then sealed a spirited comeback in the 50th minute.

In other matches, Tusker and Nzoia Sugar played an entertaining 0-0 draw in their FKF Premier League match day nine fixtures at Ruaraka Ground.

The brewers, who finished the game with ten men after Teka was sent off in the 59th minute, remain on top of the league standings

Kenya Police drew 0-0 with Ulinzi Stars at MISC Kasarani in the uniformed services derby.
