The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is committed to enhancing the National Super League (NSL) by implementing key changes to boost its appeal and attract more sponsors.

Speaking in Nairobi after meeting with NSL club officials, FKF President Hussein Mohamed emphasized collaboration with stakeholders to improve brand visibility and overall standards.

Mohammed acknowledged the challenges teams are facing, stressing the need for strategic improvements to strengthen competition and sponsorship appeal.

I understand that running a football team in the NSL is not easy, and many clubs struggle daily to stay afloat. However, as the new administration, we are here to facilitate positive change,” assured Mohammed.

Today, we have identified key areas for improvement and agreed on resolutions that will enhance brand visibility, making the league more attractive to sponsors and fans alike.

FKF also plans to engage corporate partners and government agencies to secure additional funding, ensuring clubs operate sustainably.

Mohammed is confident that the planned changes will make the National Super League (NSL) more competitive and commercially viable.

“In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be making, hopefully, very exciting announcements in regards to the NSL. I want to urge corporate sector, private sector, development partners, and anybody who wants to support local football, the best football that is being played at the grassroots level is by NSL. And this is something that we need to really support,” noted Mohammed.

The federation is set to introduce structured reforms, including improved match organization, enhanced marketing strategies, and expanded media coverage to elevate the league’s presence in Kenyan football.

To ensure long-term sustainability, FKF will collaborate with corporate partners and government agencies to secure additional funding and resources for clubs.

Through these bold initiatives, FKF aims to create a league that not only enhances the experience for players and fans but also establishes the NSL as a premier platform for talent development and commercial investment in Kenyan football.

Meanwhile, Naivas FC CEO, Moses Kamau, who was also in attendance, urged fans to come out in large numbers and attend NSL matches assuring of a safe environment.

"We have agreed to work together in ensuring the visibility for this brand. This is the only league in the country that goes through the traditional eight provinces, seven of which we actually do, making majority of the counties. We ask our fans to attend the matches, come back to the stadiums, we have a safe environment for all of you," assured Kamau.
