FKF presidential aspirant Tom Alila says alliance building ahead of the FKF presidential elections set for December 7 is not a remote possibility.

In fact, Alila wants rivals, Kakamega Homeboyz Chairman Cleophas ‘Toto’ Shimanyula, Gor Mahia Secretary Sam Ochola, former International Sammy Owino ‘Kempes’, and Chris Amimo to team up instead of splitting their votes.

He said of the polls, “That’s why I’m saying that we want to talk and agree - on forming an alliance-among ourselves. We want to ensure that Nyanza, Western and Coast speak in one tone and cast all their votes in one basket.”

Nyanza, where I come from, should guard its votes, just as our brothers in Western should. Coast region should also do the same so that we may ensure we speak loudest come the Election Day, by fronting one candidate to be endorsed by the coalition team - in order to nail the victory at the helm of Kenyan football,” Alila said.

Alila who once served as the FKF National Executive Committee member representing Nyanza region has also claimed that as things stand, there is no favourite candidate for the seat.

“There is nobody who is an outright candidate to win this election. I have gone round the country to meet these delegates. I have travelled as far as Mombasa and I can assure you that these votes are not and can’t be asked on the social media platform.

Those running around on social media saying that they are favourites to win have no idea or know what the reality has for them on December 7,” said Alila.

The alliance, if formed, could also rope in former federation president Sam Nyamweya who has thrown his weight behind Shimanyula’s ticket.
