FKF-PL: Tusker sink Bandari to go top as Police shoot down Rangers
Tusker FC went top of the FKF-Premier League log
thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Bandari United on Wednesday afternoon at
Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Thomas Omole’s 19th-minute strike was enough to earn
the brewers all points on offer, a feat that provided respite for their
disappointing 2-1 loss against in-form Shabana last Sunday at the Gusii
Stadium.
Charles Okere’s charges have garnered 30 points from
16 outings this term, three ahead of second-placed KCB, who have a game in
hand.
In the lunchtime kick-off time, third-placed Kenya
Police left it late to floor Posta Rangers 3-2 in a pulsating encounter played
at the same venue.
Rangers drew first blood within three minutes after
kick-off before Brian Musa equalized in the sixth minute to force a 1-1 scoreline at the break.
Alfred Leku put Police ahead in the 67th minute before
Olivier Maloba, scoring in his second game on the bounce, restored parity in
the 71st minute.
After fierce exchanges in the closing stages, it was the
Police who had the last laugh after Marvin Nabwire slotted home the winner in
the 92nd minute.
