Reuben Kaii Kabiru is the new FKF Nyandarua Branch Chairman while Charles Gitau has been elected as the branch executive secretary in an election held at the Ol-kalou’s NG-CDF offices.

To clinch the seat, Mr. Kaii who will be taking over from the outgoing chairperson Lucy Kageni (now contesting for National office Vice chairperson) garnered 13 votes against his sole competitor Joseph Runo Thotho who got 9 votes.

For the executive secretary’s position, Mr. Charles Gitau got 13 votes to win the seat against his arch-rival David Ragui who went home after garnering 9 votes amid allegations of voter bribery and interference.

Though there was a moment of tension after a section of candidates caused commotion alleging that there was interference from unnamed influential people forcing security officers to be called in to contain the situation.

This was a repeat election after the contesters tied during the polls held on Thursday, forcing the FKF elections board to set another date for the exercise in order to determine the winners.
