FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifier: Junior Starlets hit Uganda

Kenya’s Junior Starlets on Saturday hit Uganda 2-0 at the Nakivubo Stadium, in Kampala to have one foot in the next round of qualifiers of the Fifa U17 World Cup qualifiers.

The Mildred Cheche coached side made history by appearing at the Fifa Women’s U17 World Cup staged in the Dominican Republic and are keen on replicating the heroics.

On Saturday afternoon at the Nakivubo Stadium, Starlets wrapped up the job in the first half, Edinah Nasipwondi putting the visitors ahead before Joan Ogola added the second just before the break, to seal the win.

The return leg is set for March 16 in Nairobi.
