Ndege replaces Patrick Korir who resigned earlier this month, just four months at the helm, having been appointed in October 2024 as an interim to replace Barry Otieno, who stepped down to run for the presidency in the December 2024 elections.
The Kenya Soccer Players Association (KSPA) Secretary General, who is currently working as a Customs Officer at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), was ratified by the FKF National Executive Committee on Friday after his name was presented by the federation president Hussein Mohammed.
Ndege, 45, reportedly beat Bob Collins Otieno, Sarah Migwi and Dennis Gicheru to the influential position at FKF.
The FKF General Secretary serves as the federation’s chief administrator, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the football governing body.
Ndege’s key responsibilities will include; managing FKF’s correspondence with members, committees, FIFA, and CAF, preparing FKF’s annual budget and financial reports, and overseeing staff appointments and dismissals within the FKF Secretariat among others.
