David versus Goliath clash on parade as little-known Milima Queens take on the might of Ulinzi Starlets

A David versus Goliath scenario is set to play out this weekend as Milima Queens Club from Bungoma County gear up for a monumental clash against the formidable Ulinzi Starlets in the FKF Women's Cup.
Despite being the underdogs, Milima Queens are exuding confidence
as they eye a spot in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Milima Queens Club head coach
Saul Munyole expressed unwavering belief in his team's capabilities to shine
through when they collide with the top-tier side
"We are not playing in any league, this is our first
tournament to partake in but we are going to register for the county league. The
team is in good shape as we have been training together for long and playing
friendly matches. The only difference is that our opponents play in the premier
league while we do not," he asserted.
Acknowledging the stature of their opponents, who ply their
trade in the premier league, Munyole remains undaunted, emphasizing his squad's
preparedness for what promises to be a gruelling encounter.
"The girls have trained well and know what lies ahead,”
he said. “We have no injury concerns, we understand we are going to face the
league giants and so we have prepared so well for that encounter. The advantage
of meeting each other for the first time is that anyone can walk away with
maximum points."
Munyole attributes
much of their success to the invaluable experience gained from their friendly
matches, which have not only sharpened their skills but also bolstered their
confidence.
The tactician has at the same time urged Milima Queens Club
supporters to continue rallying behind the team for extra-motivation and anticipate
a good show from the girls.
"Fans should not be worried at all, the confidence
level in the team is high and I want to assure them that the squad will not let
them down. For those able to follow us, we urge them to rally behind the team
for extra motivation and we will post a good outcome," he concluded.
The upcoming showdown between the Milima Queens and Ulinzi
Starlets is set to take place at Dondora Stadium on Saturday.
