The CS was speaking during an inspection tour of the facility where he was accompanied by his Transport counterpart Kipchumba Murkomen, Elgeyo Marakwet County Governor Wisley Rotich and Principal Secretary Peter Tum among other leaders.
"We are going to have to do design and build so that we can accelerate, with that I think that even in a month we can be ready. And then we instructed the contractor to start with the stadium.
"We are going to do something on the escarpment either in the works by beautifying it so that it is part of the whole development," assured the CS.
Kamariny is one of the previous regime's stalled sports projects with renovation works having started in 2017 without any success.
"Kamariny Stadium has become the signature of incomplete pledges around our neck. It will be irresponsible of us to continue wearing this pledge around our neck and so I want to give you my very firm commitment that all talks are done," said Namwamba
The CS further vowed that the redesign project will be tied with the redesigning of Iten grounds.
"I want to assure Governor Wisley that he is lucky because he has killed two birds with one stone. Because the redesign work of Kamariny is going to be tied with Iten grounds.
"We are going to do Kamariny in a bigger way than before because we are doing an elite facility training there as well as improving this facility (Iten grounds) so that our people can continue using it," added Namwamba.
The stadium has nurtured world-record beaters including 800m world record holder David Rudisha.
