Women's Premier League club Bungoma Queens are confident of upsetting Kisped
Queens in their next league fixture after a vital win against Vihiga Queens at
the weekend.
While
warning Kisped ahead of the eagerly awaited clash, Bungoma Queens head coach
Godfrey Mabonga attributed their crucial 2-1 win over Vihiga Queens in the
Women's Premier League to their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
Mabonga
acknowledged that both teams displayed impressive performances, but his side's
efficiency in front of goal made the difference.
“Both
teams played well and were determined to win. However, we made the most of our
chances, which was key to securing the victory,” Mabonga told Citizen Digital.
With
their momentum high, Bungoma Queens are now focusing on their next assignment
and Mabonga remains optimistic that his squad can maintain their winning streak
and continue climbing the league table.
“We are ready for Kisped Queens. Our focus is
to keep improving and build on this victory,” he added.
Despite
the win, Bungoma Queens remain in fifth place with 24 points. They will host
Kisped Queens at their home ground in Bungoma County as they bid to maintain a
good position on the table
