Super League side 3K FC assistant coach Moses Munene has blamed missed chances and
back luck for their slim 1-0 defeat to Sam West Black Boots at the weekend.
Despite
his team putting up a strong performance, Munene lamented their inability to
convert clear scoring opportunities, vowing to bounce back against Muhoroni
Youth.
"It
was just a matter of luck that we lost. We played well, created many chances,
but unfortunately, we could not capitalize on them," Munene told Citizen Digital.
The
tactician also pointed out that their opponents walked away with maximum points
owing to their squad depth. "Our opponents were better off in experience
than our junior side, most of the players in their fold have played in the FKF
Premier League, giving them an upper hand over us."
The
defeat marked a second consecutive loss for 3K FC in the second leg of the
season, putting them under pressure to bounce back. As they prepare for their
next match against Muhoroni this weekend, Munene insists his players must work
harder to secure a much-needed victory.
"We have to go back to training and sharpen our finishing. The boys are determined, and we will give our best to turn things around," he added.
With
Muhoroni also looking to improve their standing, the weekend clash promises to
be a crucial test for 3K FC as they aim to revive their campaign.
