City Thunder out to strike Blades, Stanbic in KNBL
Thunder will be playing Strathmore Blades on Friday from 8pm at Nyayo Gymnasium before taking on newbies in the league Stanbic Shields the following day from 6pm at the same venue.
The champions, who are unbeaten since last season, have played four matches, winning all and have eight points.
Ibs added that they will not under-estimate any of them, especially Strathmore Blades who defeated the talented Umoja team last weekend.
“Preparations have been good, we have had a long overall game frequency, and guys have trained hard and are looking forward to a couple of wins.
“We don't take these teams for granted so we will do our best to stay focused and put our game plan together,” said Ibs.
Meanwhile, Equity Dumas head coach Zadock Adika believes they are up to the task of dismantling their opponents this weekend.
The bankers will be playing Ulinzi Warriors on Saturday before facing the Africa Nazarene University team (ANU Wolfpacks) on Sunday at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
“I believe we are well prepared, despite the heavy rains affecting our training schedules; we have been training well, corrected our mistakes and have worked on how to defeat our opponents and how to execute our offense better, so let’s see how the weekend goes,” said Adika.
Equity Dumas have played three matches, winning two and losing one and have five points.
