"Chin up, and bounce back”, Wamanga tells Shujaa ahead of Hong Kong 7s

Shujaa vs Samoa
Kakamega High School rugby head coach Amos Wamanga has called on the National Rugby Sevens team, Shujaa to improve on their game awareness and readiness, ahead of the Hong Kong Sevens, where they have been pooled alongside Spain, Great Britain, and France.
Shujaa
had a horrible outing at Vancouver Sevens, suffering defeats in all the matches,
and Wamanga wants to see improvements in Hong Kong, from March 28th to 30th.
“The
results were not pleasing as expected but remember this is a young team that is
learning after every leg of the series,” he explained. “Most of the matches we
let our opponents take the lead and it was hard for them to make a comeback so
they need to improve on their game awareness and readiness in the coming
matches,” said Wamanga.
Despite
the struggles in Vancouver, Shujaa are ninth in the Series standings and the
veteran tactician has called on the players “to chin up and focus on bouncing
back stronger”.
“They
don’t need to give up after the previous results. They need to chin up and look
at the mistakes they made when facing some of the teams they have been pooled
against for Hong Kong Sevens and make sure they don’t make the same mistakes.
“I am sure
they will improve On their results,” stated the head coach.
Kenya have
15 points and placed ninth on the grid, just ahead of Uruguay, USA, and Ireland.
