In a heartfelt message to the 'Green Army' through a post on Facebook, Bolo decried the widespread practice of fans bribing stewards and police officers to access matches without valid tickets, a habit she says undermines the club’s operations and future.
Her statement came shortly after the club’s Treasurer, Gerphas Okuku, confirmed that the recent derby match in Homa Bay raised a total of KSh2, 152,700 in gate collections.
She feels the Mashemeji Derby pitting the reigning champions against their fierce rivals Leopards did not live up to its billing if the treasurer records are a true reflection of the gate collections.
This is even as opponents Shabana collected Ksh. 5 million during their clash against Gor Mahia at Gusii Stadium last month, and Sally believes the fans should respect the badge.
"It's sad that some of our own would rather bribe a steward or police officer than buy a valid ticket. The stadium fills up, yet the gate collection is embarrassingly low," Bolo stated.
She reminded fans that gate charges are not donations but investments in the team’s success, and urged supporters to uphold honesty and accountability.
“Let’s stop cheating the badge we claim to love. Let’s hold ourselves to a higher standard,” she added.
With most Kenya Premier League clubs chatting a course toward financial independence, both leaders’ messages underline a central truth, the club's future depends not just on performance on the pitch, but on the integrity and support of its fan base off it.
