Strathmore Blades head coach Tony Ochieng is impressed with
his team’s weekend performance in the Kenya National Basketball Premier League
matches after winning one and losing another.
The students defeated NBK Phoenix 70-55 before falling 76-86
to fellow varsity side UoN Terror over the weekend.
“With injuries that have affected us, I am happy with the
progression and how the players have conducted themselves, doing their best.
Generally so far so good, I am happy the players brought in some good energy to
themselves,”Ochieng said.
At the same time, Ochieng is focusing on the remaining match
against giants Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), hoping for a win, as they cross
their fingers for a possible playoff slot.
“We are fixing, rebuilding the team and working on our last game against KPA with the hope of pulling a surprise victory on them as we wait to know our fate on playoffs,”Ochieng added.
