Bandari's Odhiambo vows to stop Tusker in weekend KPL showdown

Bandari FC Head Coach Ken Odhiambo is confident that his team will secure victory against Tusker FC this Sunday at home in the latest Kenya Premier League (KPL) clash.

In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital, coach Odhiambo expressed his determination, stressing that his team will not allow any points to slip away on home turf, especially after their recent 3-2 defeat to Talanta FC.

“We are treating every home match like a final. The game against Talanta should be our last home loss, and the players are fully focused after a week of intense training,” Odhiambo said.

“We know Tusker was held to a draw by Shabana midweek, and they’ll come here with a point to prove, but we are ready to give our best and aim for all three points,” he added.

Bandari FC has been bolstered by the return of key players, with star goalkeeper Bryne Omondi and midfielder Robert Onyago making their comeback after lengthy injury spells.

“I’m really pleased to have them back; they’ll add the strength we’ve been missing in our recent matches,” Odhiambo further observed.

The squad has also been strengthened by the signings of goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo and young talent Shaban Mwachozi, unveiled on Thursday.

With the reinforcements and the return of key players, Odhiambo is optimistic that Bandari FC will deliver a solid performance and secure a vital win in front of their home supporters.

The team is determined to bounce back after recent setbacks against Talanta and KCB.

Currently, Bandari FC sits in 7th place in the KPL standings with 32 points, while Tusker FC is in 2nd place with 40 points, just one point behind leaders Police FC.
