Bandari to rope in Ugandan marksman

FKF Premier League Coastal side Bandari FC are finalizing a deal
to sign Ugandan striker Derrick Nsibambi.
The club’s vice-chairman Twaha Mbarak said the Dockers have gone
all out to secure the services of the Ugandan international who will be their
last recruit in this transfer window after roping in eleven new signings.
“We are looking for one player who we are in discussing with him
after signing eleven others,” said Twaha.
The Uganda Cranes marksman who has been training with Bandari
for the last few days is expected to join the Kenya Premier League side on a
six-month contract from Oman Premier League side, Al Basheer Club.
Upon completion of the move, Nsibambi will jostle for the
starting slot with his compatriot Umaru Kasumba and last season’s NSL top
scorer Beja Nyamawi who also joined Bandari in the current window from SS
Assad.
Bandari, who will open their 2023/24 campaign against Tusker on
Saturday, is expecting to play one more friendly match on Wednesday in
readiness for the new challenge.
“We are waiting for our coach to give us the green light to
play one last friendly before we welcome Tusker in the season opener,” Mbarak
said.
In the meantime, Bandari is also looking for
an alternate field to play their home matches as Mbaraki which they normally
use is currently set for an upgrade.
