Head coach Ken Odhiambo is treating the match like a cup final, urging his squad to finish the season with pride and passion.
“We’re ready for war. Injuries have tested our depth, but we’re prepared. This is our home, our fans deserve a strong finish,” said Odhiambo.
The Dockers have stumbled in recent weeks, going five matches without a win, four draws and a loss to champions Police FC.
But it is not just Bandari feeling the heat — Posta Rangers are winless in five as well, and their top-flight survival hangs in the balance.
Injury setbacks continue to haunt Bandari, with key figures like Robert Wanyama, Abdulrahman Mohamed, and captain Andrew Juma still nursing injuries.
Midfield maestro Swaleh Pamba remains a 50/50 doubt. However, the return of William Wadri last weekend brings a welcome boost.
Despite the rough patches, Odhiambo is proud of his squad’s resilience.
“It’s been a season of two halves. We saw our young players rise and fight every game. Injuries and key exits hurt us, but no team outclassed us. The foundation is solid — the future is even brighter,” he added.
Earlier in the season, Bandari faced additional challenges playing their “home” games away from Mbaraki due to stadium renovations, temporarily relocating to Ukunda’s Showground Stadium in Kwale.
Currently eighth with 43 points, Bandari will be looking to end the campaign on a high. For 15th-placed Posta Rangers (34 points).
