Bandari confirm 'Modo' Kimani as head coach

Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC have confirmed the appointment of Anthony 'Modo' Kimani as their permanent head coach after acting in the same capacity since Andre Casa Mbungo’s exit in February.
Bandari team manager Albert Ogari,
speaking in their pre-season camp in Nairobi, confirmed that Kimani is now the
head coach after signing for an undisclosed duration.
His good performance during the
second leg last season played a key part in his confirmation, after leading
Bandari to fourth-place finish, behind winners Tusker, Kakamega Homeboyz and Gor
Mahia despite a poor start.
“I can confirm that Modo will be with
us for now because he signed a deal with the club although not sure of the time
span,” said Ogari.
Ogari has at the same time applauded
the good work Kimani has done for the time he has been in charge saying he deserved
the slot.
“Everyone noticed the changes in
terms of play and results he instilled in the boys and of course he deserved
the chance to help the team achieve its target of a maiden league title,”Ogai
explained.
Since taking over from his
predecessor, the former AFC Leopards assistant coach guided Bandari to nine
wins, five draws and losing two matches.
The dockers are still camping in
Nairobi where they are set to play another friendly after defeating NMG FC,
Posta Rangers and FC Talanta 2-0, 4-1 and 3-1 respectively last week.
They are preparing for their league
opener against Police FC on September 11 away at Nyayo Stadium.
