Kabras RFC coach Felix Ayange says they will not be carried away by Sunday's Christie Sevens win.

Kabras defeated Kenya Harlequins in the final 17-12 and Ayange knows they need to keep exhibiting the team work shown yesterday in the remaining legs.

“Every stake holder played their part well before during and I know heading forward we will be able to implement the same strategy of team work,” said Ayange.

Despite the win Ayange says there is a lot that needs to be worked on, heading to the second leg of the circuit - Ingo Sevens.

“We won’t get carried away by the win, we know we have a long way to go in the circuit so we have to stay focused and take one game at a time," added Ayange.

The Kakamega - Ingo Sevens - is slated for August 2-3, where Ayange targeting back-to-back wins.

“It is our home circuit that come with its  pressure to win it but as I said earlier we have not to be over confident and take one game at a time."

At the same time, Kenya Harlequins coach Paul Murunga  is confident that his team can go on to win the National Circuit, after reaching the opening leg - Christie 7s final.

Speaking about the match, Murunga believes that his team played well but the best team won.

“It was a tough match, the boys played well. At some point the game was at 12-12 but they managed to score another try to win the game. It would have gone either way,” he said.

“This is the first tournament of the circuit. The team is well prepared and ready for the entire circuit. We are hoping to win some of the legs and definitely winning the overall title,” declared Murunga.

Harlequins ace Leon Oduor echoed his coach’s sentiments, saying that the team is eyeing reaching all finals.

“Our targets are the finals. We want to get through all the finals and hope that we pick a couple (titles) along the way and see what the overall has for us,” Oduor reiterated.

Oduor believes that Kabras are their biggest challengers but promised to rewrite the story when they meet in Kakamega.

“Kabras are always lucky, they are always slipping from us in the final but we know what we must do. As we head off to Kakamega we are going to bring them a show,” Oduor warned.
